Amazing food, excellent service, old school Italian restaurant!

By far the best Italian food in the world. And I'm not saying this lightly. I've been all over the world and oh boy whatever they do. Writing this I am dreaming of their food. I wish they could deliver

Delicious food and courteous staff. Worth every penny

Old school family style Italian. The host actually shakes your hands when you enter as does the waiter when you leave. The food was great and very reasonably priced for how much you get. Amazing pistachio cherry ice cream desserts as well!

This is the quintessential Italian American experience. It is everything I hoped for in an Italian eatery. The place makes you feel like you are in a Scorsese film. Pro tip great place to go before or after going to the casino\horse races. If you go during the off hours there are a bunch of old Italians men playing cards and drinking grappa which is what is a sign of a great Italian restaurant. Their food is on the higher side of the Italian restaurant spots but so worth it. Their bake clams are the benchmark that all other bakes clams should be graded on. Their linguine and clam sauce is simple elegant and perfect. They serve their house wine by the carafe which at $26 isn’t bad. At the end of the meal if you get an espresso they give you a little grappa to wash away all your sins.

Traditional italian family style! Friendly service and just a lot of fun for a big party. Come early or prepared to wait for 1 hour + on the weekend. Get the linguini clam and be prepared to share everything as the portion is HUGE! get the house wine it’s cheap and pairs well with the food. However, try to resist the urge to drink all the sauce from their delicious pasta, it’s so yummy but also full of oil and butter. my stomach didn’t feel good after both of my visits. However, my friends were fine so def try it out!

Great authentic Italian food with a nice family vibe. Waiter served all of our plates family style and the food tasted amazing. Definitely a good spot if you're in the mood for Italian. Also they have several zagat ratings

Had a nice meal here at Don Peppe the other night. I would go back, they have a comfortable friendly atmosphere. The food worked out, we all liked it.

One of a kind traditional Italian restaurant! We had shrimp sauce fettuccine, clam soup, and baked chicken and veggie. All was good and in big portion.

Friendly staff and spacious restaurant. I hear they have lines out the door on weekends. We came on a Tuesday at 8:30pm and got seated straight away. My favorite dishes were the shrimp spaghetti (sauce was sooooo flavorful) and the lemon ice. It’s a lemon sorbet served inside a hollowed lemon. It’s sweet and tangy and the perfect ending to the meal.

I admire this spot! They have delicious meals, their menu is decent, The chief cook in that restaurant is a specialist, I love a lot eating all their food. The food is always tasty, the service towards the customers is agreeable. I frequently visit this place and I was never unsatisfied. Highly recommended.

If you are ever looking for that old school feel before swiping cards became a thing, then Don peppe is the place to be as this is a CASH ONLY RESTAURANT. Meals are served family style and dished out by the server. The bread rolls are served warm, the meals are made delicious and tailored to suit ur request. They also have home made white and red wine with the option of ordering half or full bottle. Some say they are. a bit pricy but for the meal size it is worth it but that is just my opinion. One meal was shared between two people with left over enough to make a doggy bag. The menu is placed boldly on the wall for all to see and the ambience of the place, encourages a relaxed feel.

It's a good family style Italian restaurant. The portions are huge but the prices are huge also. Food is flavor full but it's more of a ny style Italian food then old country Italian Grandma style. The food is still pretty good but nothing above and beyond.

Had the linguini clam sauce and the veal and I can say this is one of the best restaurants and I have been. Service is at another level and the guy at the door is super friendly. Also they did the arrangements because we had a plane to catch.

What a great place! Lots of food, lots of atmosphere. The staff is friendly and the eager to please. The food is always above par! Six of us for a nice get together with old friends. The perfect place for this! The Veal Don Pepe is always a favorite! Cant wait until our next get together.

Excellent food, large portion little expensive but you do get plenty to eat. Decore could use an upgrade, men bathroom in need of upgrade.

Great meal and atmosphere. Baked clams and Don Peppe Chicken are highly recommended. Just remember it is cash only. ATM in the supermarket next door.

Don Peppe never disappoints. If you want family style, old school Italian dining, it doesn't get much better than this.

This place is a classic. Get the stuffed clams, love the shrimp luciano. Everything is excellent.

Good things come in old packages. No wait for a table on a Friday night only adds to this review. Great Baked Clams (As usual) and Linguini with white clams sauce and serious amounts of garlic. Price is fair for the great quality. Service also very good. Not much negative about them, just really old school Italian food. Not too shabby. I will be back , and back and back again.

Classic old school Italian open to 1942 menus on the wall. The food that I've tried there is excellent including the linguine with clam sauce which is some of the best I've ever had. Homemade white wine was very good. Cash only no parking lot metered parking in front of restaurant

I’ve been going to Don Peppe for years now. Staff is warm and friendly and you feel like you’re a local from around the neighborhood. Food is served family style and the portions are huge. Classic Italian food.
